2-INGREDIENT MANGO “NICE” CREAM – Healthy, vegan and totally sugar free creamy ice cream with just 2-ingredients – bananas and mangoes!
Summer is the time to indulge in everything cooling, refreshing and of course healthy and delicious! My go-to treat is always a fresh juice or any of my favorite ice creams, especially chocolate ice cream!
But with all the calories and fat in them, I have to limit myself to a small bowl of it! With gorgeous pictures and flavors of ‘nice’ cream exploding all over the internet, my sweet tooth had to try it and was totally satiated as this is totally guilt free and full of everything that is good for me!
NOW, WHAT IS “NICE” CREAM?
Nice cream is nothing but ice cream made with bananas instead of milk or cream! I know, you are going to say ‘bleh’! But wait! I guarantee you that one spoon of this creamy ice cream with only bananas or with other fruits or even chocolate or peanut butter will floor you right away; I know I was.
My first taste of this was when I tried my 2-Ingredient Strawberry Ice Cream or “nice” cream with ripe bananas and strawberries! My whole family loved every bite of it!
Basically, frozen bananas are blended in a high-speed blender or food processor (with other fruits; also frozen) and ends up being a smooth, creamy, no-sugar treat which has the exact consistency of soft ice cream; like whipped frozen custard! I would say it has the richness of ice cream and fruitiness of any fruit sorbet!
No ice cream maker needed here; just a food processor or high-speed blender which can take processing frozen foods without burning up the machine!
As soon as it reaches its creamy, frozen gorgeousness, eat it right away for the best flavor and texture! Freeze the fruity mixture for a longer time if you like it slightly firm. I like it freshly made; makes for a creamy, smooth and fresh nice cream!
Add any frozen fruit like mangoes or strawberries and for the chocolate lovers, stir in cocoa powder or melted chocolate!
If the fruits are not too sweet, feel free to stir in any of your favorite sweetener; sugar, honey, maple syrup etc.!
Have fun using different flavors with frozen bananas and have a blast indulging in sugar free “nice cream”.
Love my Mango “Nice” Cream! I am sure you will too!

2-INGREDIENT MANGO “NICE” CREAM – Healthy, vegan and totally sugar free creamy mango ice cream with just 2-ingredients – bananas and mangoes!
Ingredients
- 1 large fully ripe banana, peeled and sliced
- 2 large or 3 medium sized fully ripe sweet mangoes, peeled and cut into ½ inch cubes
- OPTIONAL ADD INS:
- Any sweetener like sugar, Stevia, Splenda, honey, maple syrup etc.( if the mangoes are not too sweet)
Instructions
- Spread prepared bananas and mangoes on parchment paper lined baking plate/sheet and freeze for 3 hours.
- When ready to make mango “nice” cream, remove from freezer.
- Transfer the frozen fruits into a high-powdered food processor or blender fitted with a steel blade attachment.
- Process or run the processor until the mixture is crumbly, a few runs of the machine. If you feel the machine will heat up, just pulse until you crumble the frozen fruit.
- Scrape down the sides and run the processor again until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- If the mangoes are not too sweet, stir in a few teaspoons of your preferred sweetener like honey, sugar, maple syrup or any artificial sugar sweetener while running the processor.
- Serve immediately for a soft, creamy and melt-in-mouth mango "nice" cream.
- For a firmer texture/consistency, freeze in an airtight container for a couple of hours.
- Leftovers can be stored up to 2 weeks in the freezer. Remove from freezer about 20 to 30 minutes before serving and keep at room temperature to get the right consistency of creamy mango nice cream!
- Enjoy Foodie Friends!
Notes
Make sure the bananas and mangoes are totally ripe.
If the mangoes are very sweet, there is no need to add any sweetener, making it sugar free and great dessert for diabetics!
If needed, you can add a dash of milk, cream or coconut milk to increase the creaminess.
Instead of mangoes, you can use melted chocolate, peanut butter, strawberries, blueberries etc.
